How it began

I made this for a screening at AI Gekijo , an event organized by Norihiko that hires a cinema to show AI-made work.

The idea was a feeling that 2025 might mark the start of a dramatic transformation driven by AI. I tried to express that feeling through music and images.

The visual world

White and red run through the cities, architecture and plants. I imagined future landscapes by giving familiar things unfamiliar shapes and textures.

Making images in Midjourney

In 2025, keeping a character looking the same from one shot to the next wasn't as easy as it is now. So I focused on maintaining the atmosphere of the whole piece, not just individual characters.

For the images, I used Midjourney . Consistent white-and-red colors, ornamentation and metallic textures help the scenes feel part of the same world.

Bringing the images to life with Kling

Most of the video was generated with Kling . I animated the Midjourney images, building on the consistent look I'd established in the stills to give the whole video a unified feel.

Looking back in 2026

Looking back, I think that feeling—that AI would change the world in a big way—was fairly well founded.

That doesn't mean the landscapes in the video have become real. But the possibilities for an individual to turn imagination into film feel broader than when I made it.
